Feature Walkthrough
Ankobi connects to your bank and turns your transactions into a budget you can actually keep — all inside Google Sheets. Here's the walkthrough of features, step by step.
1. Connect your bank securely
Link your accounts through open banking (or a secure connection for other banks). Access is read-only, and you can disconnect at any time. Learn about open banking.
2. Import the period you want
Once you're connected, import transactions for the current month, last month, or the last 12 months.
3. Organised one sheet per month
Ankobi imports your transactions into a sheet for each month, keeping everything tidy and easy to maintain.
4. Automatic categorisation
Ankobi categorises your transactions for you. For anything it can't place, just set the category once — Ankobi remembers it and applies it to the same or similar transactions the next time you import.
Tip: once a month has is fully categorised, re-import your other months to have them categorised automatically too.
5. Categories your way
Personalise your categories on the Categories sheet so they match how you think about your money.
6. A budget that updates itself
Use Ankobi's budget template or build your own, then set a monthly target for each category. It updates automatically every time you import new transactions.
7. Upcoming payments
Ankobi recognises your regular monthly payments and flags the ones that haven't come out yet, listing them in a sheet so you can see what's still to come this month.
8. Budget forecast and risk
With the budget template, Ankobi forecasts each category's spend — based on what you've spent so far plus any upcoming payments — and highlights any category at risk of going over the target you've set.
